| OK, I'll be the mean person. Is no one else bothered that the OP is essentially asking how she can hold spots at 2 schools? Every day past May 1 is a day that someone else can't plan, which has downstream impacts since those people might give up spots elsewhere which will let other families decide. I'm sympathetic, but I have a problem with the OP and I hope the Bridge's principal puts them to a decision so they don't impact other families. |
Eh, it's just a few more days. But OP, I agree you should be able to get your home contingencies settled by May 1. |
| From my understanding, if you accept your spot at a school, you also agree to giving up your spot at your current school and authorize My School DC to notify your current school that they can give your space to someone else. At least, that's what the enrollment form from My School DC says. |
| I am not understanding the information here that the re-enrollment due date is June 19. Re-enrollment at my charter is due by May 1. |
+1. Seems the charters have variant deadlines but many are earlier than in years past. Also appears, based on the DCPS website, that their re-enrollment forms are due earlier this year as well (June 1, I think). |
| Re-enrollment at charters is due by May 1st; i'm not sure where that June 1st is coming from. Available spots for Round 1 of the lottery for a pre-k 4 program such as AppleTree would have been based off the total number of returning students from pre-k 3. In order for the school to accurately turn in available spots for Round 2 and to move the waitlist on May 1st, they would need to know how many current students are returning. |
| Chancellor's letter on DCPS reenrollment says their deadline is 6/19. http://dcps.dc.gov/DCPS/Learn+About+Schools/Enroll+in+Our+Schools |
It's different for DCPS. If you don't enroll by 6/19 but are IB and above K they still have to take you. |
