How much are you spending on easter baskets and what is your HHI

I can't believe people are actually answering this with their HHI. DCUM never ceases to amaze.

Around $350K, spend about $20/year for candy/trinkets per year for the whole crew. Use same baskets every year.

We never did the Easter basket thing. My kids had baskets that they used for egg hunts (and normally these got reused from year to year), but we didn't fill them with candy, etc.

Are these your 'friends'? Such shallow people.

Probably $40 including the basket for a 1 year old. No candy due to her age but will include books and a toy. Will probably spend less as she gets older, but small cheap toys and eggs are not safe given her age. Don't see why HHI matters. Is there some trend of $$$ mega-baskets among the rich??

I'm astonished that people do Easter baskets.

We reuse the same basket and grass. I buy See's, though, so I spend about $25/kid with shipping (we live overseas so shipping is expensive).

HHI $110

Easter basket from last year. $30 on what goes inside. DD is almost 3, she is getting a toy I have wanted to buy her but didnt want to just 'give' to her. So its going in the basket. Then about $5 on Eggs/candy, Will probably get a Frozen choc item from Target and a handful of mini eggs.

we re-use baskets year after year and fill them with some chocolate bunnies and jelly beans.
My kids (9,8,5) love it.

It's not a Christian thing. It's more American/pagan. Yes Christians do it too, but it's not a church thing.

What? I don't know. I'll get them some candy and new shirts to wear to Mass. Maybe $30 each? We make around $150K.

I have absolutely seen "Easter Bunny Loot" pictures on par with Christmas morning pictures. It seems to usually consist of Summer Items- bathing suit, towel, water shoes, squirt toys, water tables, etc. But yes... out of control how much.

Personally, I know you might "need" to buy some of those items.. but I am not including them in the Easter basket. If it doesn't fit in the basket- it doesn't come from the bunny. We spend roughly $10-15 per kid. A small amount of candy, dollar store trinkets, and one book.

easter basket from PB-maybe $25.
Not putting candy, but small toys like ink stamper and a harmonica and bubbles. Kid is 3
