From a first grader: It was hard. 47 questions. I knew some. I didn't know some. I forgot to check my work.

I think my first grader did not complete it correctly - he said it was short, just 1 section, and they were told they could read a book when they saw the word Stop... I thought this test has multiple sections.

My DC who took the NNAT last year in first grade said that there was one section, and said that this year's Cogat had three sections taken over three days.

I think the time change will be a factor. My dd is getting the usual amount of hours of sleep, but is exhausted because she isn't used to the time change. She had the NNAT today. I have no idea how good she did because she is having some discipline issues at school this week.

If your child can't handle a 1 hour time change that happened days ago, then she's not AAP material.

Different poster - I know of smart grown-ups exhausted at work this week due to time change. If you are a SAHM and your kid doesn't have to leave home at 7:00 AM, I get it that it may not impact your kid.

Please understand that there is a tiny possibility that it MAY be hard on others.

NP. My son was happy they got time in the computer lab. That's all he said. Is this test really that important, anyway? Serious question, we are new to FCPS.

There is only one section. Stop sign is at the end if the test. It's only a 30 min test. He really couldn't have gone wrong.

I see how you are trying to turn this into at SAHM vs WOHM thing. It's not.

People have limitations based on various factors and if you can not be that considerate - what can I say?

One thing to consider is that all the other kids have had the time change this week, too. The score needed to move into the pool next year will be partially based on the scores kids get on the NNAT this year and they will all have taken it the week after the time change. I wouldn't worry about it.

My daughter said it was short also (which sounds like code for rushed through it to do something else lol) She told me it said 19 minutes at the top of the screen, but they had 30 minutes to finish. I don't know know if she finished in 19 minutes or if she had 19 minutes left.
