Then I would buy the individual cottage cheese containers and bring one as well as whatever he typically eats for his mid morning snack.

We do toaster waffle, cut up into pieces in one cup. In another cup he gets mini chocolate chips or M&Ms, just enough to put in the waffle pieces.

Way less messy than syrup so makes me happy.

I had one golden road trip where DS would eat a McDonalds breakfast and then it ended.

I keep the cooler on the passenger seat and just hand stuff back.

Cheese sticks can be hard to open, but good practice for fine motor skills.

*can't believe you'd complain about this.

They have good coffee, cleaner restrooms than most gas stations and are located right near highway exits. It would be nice to have more options and the trip back is always harder to source good car food items for.

Chick fil A or Hardee's breakfast. McD's is so disgusting - it's delicious when I eat it but ALWAYS makes me feel like 100% crap afterwards.

The chicken biscuits at either CFA or Hardee's, however... Also I am a fan of the new Taco Bell breakfast.

I just don't understand how anyone can eat that crap at McD's anymore. It makes me feel so gross.

We usually do DD. I like their coffee and dd can get a bagel w/cream cheese. She hates donuts...what???

Yeah, my family isn't going to Chik Fil A any time soon.

Also, I'm not sure "McDonalds" and "good coffee" belong in the same sentence ...

Have a hard time believing that eating a chicken biscuit breakfast would make me feel better than a yogurt parfait from McD -- unless I was hung over.

I make almond butter pancakes (detoxinista website) the night before and put them in ziplock bags for everyone for the car ride. Healthy and easy.

What about a granola bar? Small, less mess, easy, won't go bad, no need for refrigeration to keep.
