Does your charter offer a summer camp?

CMI will do 4 weeks @ ~$200/week ($250 total for 4 weeks, if you qualify for free/reduced lunch). We've enjoyed it the past two years - field trips, crafts, fun IPC units, and will look forward to it again this year. It's just for current students, I believe.

CMI has a four week camp for its students. $800 regular price, $250 for free and reduced lunch people and free for summer school or english lang learners. Although Mundo Verde's camp is on the higher side, it is significantly less than the other spanish immersion camps like WIS, for instance, and Arco Iris.

It is just for current students, correct. My child also loved it. Wish it was longer!

Does the CMI cost include before or after care. What are those prices. If admitted can incoming students attend?

BASIS DC has been running two summer programs - STARS for academic and BOSS for organizational skills over the summer - http://basisdc.org/school/summer-program.php

Creative minds is running a camp for 4 weeks for their students. I think it is 800 for the session. Reduced fee for kids with free lunch and free for kids with ESY.

These are summer classes, English and Math, not summer camps.

I think I heard that schools lost summer school funding but they can use at-risk funding for their summer programs.

But only for at-risk students.

Do you think OSSE will ever re-institute funding, or is this like the first-time homebuyers' credit -- gone forever?

Cap City does. It will still be free for families who qualify for free/reduced lunch but other families pay. I think it is 200 per week with extra for before/after care. The theme this year is engineering and it is 4 weeks.

Appletree still does. $400 (including before/aftercare and meals) for 4 weeks.

Interesting, so it's still free then? $400 is less then their regular monthly price for before and aftercare plus meals. I wonder how they are funding it.
