Yes my acupuncturist told me this. drink warm liquids, even water and wear socks. I also read somewhere that wearing socks while doing it can make you have a big O. If your feet are always cold, something is off in your body. There is tons of information online about acupuncture and the kidney meridian. Kidney controls infertility in Chinese Medicine. Acupuncture and Chinese medicine worked for me. It works for a billion people in Asia. Haters gonna hate but just because you don't understand it, or it isn't familiar to you doesn't mean it can't work. Honestly wearing socks, drinking warm liquids, adding cinnamon and ginger to your diet hell of a lot cheaper and easier than IVF! Today is a perfect day to start trying.... and it won't interfere with Western Medicine (IVF, IUI, Clomid).
just stumbled across this thread-- I have had infertility for years and 3 failed ivfs. I have raynaud's sydrome-- i wonder if there is a connection.
Cold feet is often a sign of an underlying problem. However the whole cold feet = cold ovaries is ridiculous
Cold feet and infertility.. very interesting. I have been struggling with infertility and if I think about it, I too have cold feet. But I am not unexplained. We have male infertility, blocked tubes, DOR, endometriosis and several other issues. Now I know cold feet could be one of them
Chronic low level anxiety.
I'm in 2WW right now and freaked out when my feet got cold last night. It was a cold night, so had I not read this thread, I wouldn't have thought much of it LOL
what is the specific protocol for women who have Hashimoto's thyroiditis?
+1 except for the unexplained part. After years of visiting different RE I was finally diagnosed with PCOS. My hands and feet are freakishly cold according to DH (and ex BFs). |
My Asian RE advised me to try acupuncture, make sure my arms and legs were always warm, and to try to always eat/drink foods that were tepid. Initially I thought he was a little wacky but I tried it and it worked. Doesn't hurt to try...

My feet and hands are usually cold: I am hypothyroid, have Hashimoto's, PCOS, AND low level anxiety. Acupuncture has helped me more than almost anything else (only things that have helped me as much have been the thyroid meds and giving up gluten/dairy.)
It's too late for me, as I appear to be going thru early menopause, but you may want to get your doctor to run some tests in addition to following the advice to stay warm. I really do think there is something to eastern medicine and that it really does help... |
