She was Class of 2009. Most of the admitted students back then were white. Now about two-thirds of the admits are Asian. I could be wrong, but I don't think many Asian families would expose their families to the type of publicity that the white student's have sought here. They'd view the whole episode as embarassing and try to avoid the media. |
I get what you're trying to say, but still kind of a broad brush generalization. From reading the story about this particularly student, she seems like an extreme example regardless of race/ethnicity. Vast majority of people would not want to subject themselves to this kind of publicity, imo. |

sometimes bad publicity will help advance your career. just another AAP crazy parent gone overboard with micromanaging their kids education/career.

| just read this article. Hum...I wonder if mom ever got her business connection she asked for? Sounds like she didn't. Very strange and coincidental in my opinion. |
I think she and mom are both a little loopy and maybe a little gold digging. |
| typical white bitches. what new? |
It took me about 30 sec to find her address using her name. It would not stay private after a lawsuit + story on the NYT. Be real. |
What does TJ have to do with a mentally ill mother and daughter? |
Her complaint prominently mentions that she was a straight-A student at TJ before attending Standford, and part of the narrative here seems to be that Lonsdale has prevented her from realizing her limitless potential by abusing her. It wouldn't read quite the same if she'd just gone to Marshall with the other kids from her neighborhood. |
