Yes, but other thread is in "off-topic," where parents, not unlike Ellie's mother in their determination to get their kids the brass ring of TJ are unlikely to see it. A very troubled girl with a life, that from the outside, would impress many.

^^^ and wasn't she also featured in a Washingtonian article a few years ago that focused on the diverse (sports, modeling!!) backgrounds of many of the kids who went to the "best high school in the country?"

Mother and daughter seem seriously disturbed. Sorry, but if my college aged daughter texted me about her much older, very wealthy school placed mentor:

Late at night on Feb. 7, 2012, Clougherty texted her mother:

“Joe really really really seriously likes me.”

I don't think I would write back, "Yikes,” Anne wrote back. “How does this keep happening ”. Nothing smiley face about it even at that point. I've no thoughts beyond that since every story has two sides, but since this was quoting texts, I'm sure this part was accurate and bizarre.

The complaint that she filed against Lonsdale states that she lives in Vienna and attended TJ. How her attending TJ has anything to do with the alleged assaults while she was a Stanford student is anyone's guess - most likely it was included at the mother's insistence because she wants to emphasize all the ways her DD is "perfect." Which is precisely how the girl ended up so obviously damaged.

The specific address was not included in the complaint, so I don't think it would be appropriate to post that here. The NYT article indicates the mother worked in the software industry and the father is a doctor. They are putting this information out there for public consumption by speaking to the NYT and without having the complaint filed under seal.
