Fresh IVF cycle with PGD?

Anonymous
I got to SG and my RE didn't tell us about this option. He said we had to do a FET if we did PGS. Is this something new they are offering? We have been at SG since June and only done IUIs so far, but IVF is looming and our insurance only covers 2 IVFs and considers a retrieval and FET 2 IVFs for some reason. So, this would help us actually get to do 2 retrievals and transfers.

I'm a PP who had a day 6 fresh transfer after PGS biopsy. At SG. I'm not sure if all SG doctors do the same thing, my doctor recommended biopsy, lovenox, predisone after a few failed cycles which shocked me BC I've read on here how conservative SG doctors are. So I guess they are all different.

GIVF can do a day 5 PGD biopsy with day 6 transfer. Their website says they do PGD on-site, so they don't have to send the biopsies out and wait for results.

PPs, which doctors at SG allow or don't allow PGS and fresh cycle?

I would be cautious with SG if you only get 2 transfers. Unless your RE is willing to tailor the protocol to you, they really use a one size fits all treatment. My RE was totally unwilling to do anything other than a regular protocol--I left and went to another clinic and got a kitchen sink protocol and am now 6 weeks pregnant. However, we lost two IVF/FETs transfers at SG.
