If you're an anti vaxxer you can stay right the fuck away from me and my infant. I can say this politely or use lots of profanity... End result is the same... I don't want to breathe the same air as you and if I find out you're at the same pediatrician or daycare center as me, I'm going to make a big fucking stink.

Again, you are an idiot! Just because my kids are not fully vaxxed, does not mean that they are walking hosts. My daughter is not just carrying, measles, etc etc. what do you not get? You have your kid vaxxed, what's the worry dear? Question? Are you fully vaxxed? Doubt it. Have you had you titers checked?
Nice language by the way....

Op, I love you!

pp here...I didn't meant that VAERS compensates people. My understanding is that reporting through VAERS is the first step to compensation through VICP. But I just looked it up (as I should have done originally) and I misinterpreted the connection. My apologies.

My child is not vaxxed, you mouth breather. She is an INFANT.

I am indeed fully vaxxed, I have no idea why you'd think I wouldn't be.

And if your little disease vector gives my baby measles, my language will be the least of your worries.

But VAERS is the only way a parent can be compensated. Which is why mandatory vaccination would create a compensation system. If you force someone to take a risk and they are that 1 in a million there is liability to consider.

1. No one is compensated through VAERS. Google the word VAERS and read about what it is.
2. There is a compensation system under the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program. It is funded by a 75 cent excise tax on every vaccine. From my understanding there is about 3 billion dollars in it.

It is important to know that while MMR may not always prevent mumps. And yes, mumps can cause sterility. But not having MMR can cause people to die and those people are also....sterile....because they are dead. So get your kids the MMR and shut the EFF up.

The exemptions in most states have been around since the 60's, so parents making new decisions is not something that occurred solely in the last decade. Plenty of parents questioned the safety of vaccines well, well before Andrew Wakefield.

This is why we need vaccinations to be mandatory. The stupidity of some is truly amazing.

Yeah, I just did, and clarified my mistake. The VICP is not going to cut it if the government forces people to vaccinate who do NOT accept the risks, however small. It doesn't matter whether we all think they should for the greater good.

It won't? Why won't it?

Who says that there is no open scientific exchange about potential vaccine failures? There's plenty of open discussion, including by the CDC:

OP here, 14:22 my main point was that I would like to hear accurate information. My complain was people on either side of the debate spouting off things that aren't true. The MMR case is going to court because it was covered up. And of course the CDC knows that pertussis is around, but apparently a lot of America thinks it was eliminated by vaccines, and is only still around b/c people aren't vaccinating.

Yeah, total straw man. I have not seen that claim in any of the recent theads here. Please link to posts that say this.

So? Does this information make any difference as to what the right course of action is?

Yes, we would all like to hear accurate information.

Which MMR case is going to court because it was covered up, who covered it up, and what did they cover up?

I think the truth always matters. Particularly with vaccines parents have enough real concerns that unfounded and untrue rhetoric makes everything worse.
