First world problem: catalog model annoys me:)

Ugh...she is my nemesis!

And I remember talk of urban outfitters/anthro struggles a few years ago...but they are majorly boosted by a cultish following, especially amongst bloggers and instagrammers.

And of course now the mouth-breathing models are showing up in my margin ads!

No, this one: http://m.anthropologie.com/mobile/catalog/productdetail.jsp?id=4110265418003&catId=CLOTHES-NEW#/
However, they both have mouth breathing going on. I guess that's what Anthro considers attractive these days.

She looks a lot like a rabbit. I think it is funny how a model an be so annoying. I have one I hate in a catalog, but she is the owner of the line. Retire, please.

What brand? I want to see!

According to DH, I make sure they stay in business

She needs to wear her retainer more.

I was thinking the same thing. She needs to see a dentist ASAP.

The level of hate on this thread is actually astounding. Putting other women down does not make you a better person. If this is how you gain empowerment, I highly suggest seeking therapy to work through those issues. Women should build each other up, NOT tear them down.

They aren't putting other women down. They are objecting to perfectly attractive women being photographed with stupid looks on their faces, like they just inhaled a bug or something.

Yes, and there was a catalog model who was kind enough to chime in and say that the model probably poses with many looks, but the editors choose this one. Probably a stupid MAN editor! Is that better? She's just like us and has terrible coworkers that make her look bad!

Where did you see hate?

Unclench, dear. We are not hating on them because they are women. And I have plenty of vitriol for men too. I am Equal Opportunity in my tearing down of humanity. As for gaining empowerment, are you kidding me? I'm sitting here drinking instant coffee and I'm waiting for DD to wake up when I will be treated to yet another re-run of Mister Rogers.

Are you saying that feminism precludes women from any criticism of other women and that women who criticize other women need therapy? Can you support that with texts and critical studies? Because that's not the feminism I'm aware of or that my mother participated in. And I've never seen strong women like Elizabeth Warren or Hillary Clinton or Lani Guinier hold back criticism (or even snark) about other women. Your take on this thread is in my opinion very anti-women and anti-feminist because essentially you are telling us to "keep sweet" and be nice because women don't say bad things about other women. To me, that's a 1950's trope that I leave behind with other bullshit like nice girls don't have sex or women should stay home.

"Appalachia"?!? Bigot.

NP here. I knew exactly which model you meant as soon as I read your opening post. She drives me bonkers.

There are a couple models in Garnet Hill that I feel that way about. First of all, that catalog needs to switch it up. They have used the same three or four girls for years and I'm sick of seeing their faces. One can always be counted on having a quirky open mouthed look with her toes pointed in toward each other--the awkward school girl look. So annoying.
