| Yeah, berber is the worst for cats; that's why they make scratching posts out of it. Anything with a loop pile is going to tempt cats. |

| A very short chenille pile works great for us. Easy to clean up anno scratching. I second the scratching post idea. I think the cardboard ones work great. |
