Do you provide birth control for your kids?

I'm not a liberal either - I am also not a grandmother. My daughter was on the pill when she was sixteen.

PS what you "allow" and they do are two very different things.

If you raise them right they won't even think to disobey you.

I'm 32 years old and if my parents even for a second thought I had kissed a guy let alone had sex I would be beaten if not killed. So ya I'm raised to be against any kind of sex.

Trailer park parents who end up in jail. Great examples!

You aren't raising dogs, PP. These are human beings with their own minds, their own bodies, their own hormones and their own friends. You are beyond a fool to make such a ridiculous statement.

Yes, of course, I do. I took my daughters to Planned Parenthood when they were each 15 to get fitted for an IUD or a prescription for the pill. They had a wonderful sex education program there for teen girls.

Wearing a seat belt in a car doesn't make you want to get into an accident. Being on reliable birth control doesn't make you want to have sex. Older DD didn't have sex until she was in college and younger DD still hasn't had sex as a senior in high school.

Nope. If they are old enough to be having sex, they are old enough to be getting their own birth control.

One of these days I'm going to have to sit down with my parents and ask how they managed to raise 3 daughters that didn't get pregnant in high school, didn't provide us with birth control, and didn't have sex as teenagers.
All 3 of us are functioning adults, with healthy relationships including sex.

How did this happen?

They need to share the secret they could make millions with their knowledge.

The thing is, many teens have sex before they're truly old enough to be having sex, which is why they AREN'T getting their own birth control.

It's called luck. Were you all virgins until you got married? Have you never known any girl from a nice family who got pregnant?

Same here with one and only DD. It is the only truly responsible thing to do. Don't get arrested, don't get pregnant, and don't die.
