Bavarian Inn, in Shepherdstown WV. Lots of shops and great dining. The Bavarian Inn has wonderful cozy rooms. You can get a garden view for $169 a night. It's been a few years since I've been there. I loved it! Didn't see anyone mention it. That's where I would go.

+1 Though I know most of the shops in town in St. Michael's are now closed for the winter.

Maybe Hershey, PA? They have a nice spa, decent restaurants, and you could go to Chocolate World and indulge as only a pregnant woman can! There are also outlets in the area.

Annapolis?

There are a bunch of B&Bs within an hour or two of DC. Some of them even offer spa packages and are near cute little towns where you can grab dinner.

This! I love this place and we had some awesome times there ore baby. The service is out of this world and it's close. You can also go to Montpelier nearby. The restaurant is sooooo good. The rooms we have stayed in have the most glorious baths.

I'm PP. I will also add Hope and Glory Inn in Irvington Va is nice. A bit further. And we love St Michaels. We stay at the Five Gables Inn - very reasonably priced.

Staunton is a cute little town and has some great restaurants - very much in the thick of the farm to table movement in VA. And near Monticello and some of the VA wineries.

One of our favorite vacations was to Charlottesville, VA. Lots of historic places. We stayed at 200 South Street Inn and loved it. No spa on-site, but some rooms have hot tubs. The cute little downtown area was a block or two away.

We did a little staycation in Baltimore - Fells Point. Stayed at Inn at Hendersons Wharf and it was lovely.

I should also mention you get butler service. French press coffee and fresh beignets at your door every morning. And I agree with PP, the restaurant was surprisingly delicious.
