Valley mill camp

For those whose kids have attended in the past, did you feel the gender separation made any difference to your kids' experiences there, either positive or negative? TIA.

Our older son has done both the "Bees" coed group for little kids and "Boys Camp" for older boys. He liked Bees quite a lot, but absolutely loves Boys Camp. (The boys do crafts, too, but they call it "pioneering," which kills the eyerolls and is for that reason brilliant!) Valley Mill is his favorite camp. We'll see if it leaps from a "good camp" to a "great" one in our younger son's estimation when he moves to Boys Camp this summer....

Is it possible to go for only one week? I find the website somewhat confusing on this point. Thanks.

10th week is a single-week session. If you contact the camp directly they may also be more flexible on earlier weeks than the website suggests (they definitely are for longtime camp families; not sure about newbies).

You can sign up through the Falls Church city camp website for a couple of single week sessions.
