Another vote for Anneke, although spelling it Annika would probably make her life easier.

I recently met a Dutch woman named Mieke, pronounced Meek-uh. Once I learned how to pronounce it (I had only seen her name written before being introduced) I liked it.

Olga is a Russian name, not a German name.

Heidi is a Swiss diminutive.

Ingrid is really a Scandinavian name, not a German one.

And the diminutive of Margaret in German is Grete (like Gretel), not Greta.
