+1 we are going though the same thing. 2014 has been really rough.

Wish I knew you to commiserate. This has been so overwhelming, scary and lonely. We don't know what to do.

We are ending the year on a better note: she's on a variety of medication that is mostly keeping things under control. Going to therapist once a week and psychiatrist once a month. My fear is that this is all just a stopgap measure and feel so unsure about her taking all the medication at such a young age (10). I hate to think she will struggle with this for the rest of her life. Many hugs to you.

Glad you've found a way to cope. I think medication is our next step --therapy hasn't helped. I agree with fears for the future and fears about medication in childhood. Ours is 12. Best wishes to you and your daughter.

+1 for us. We are meeting with 2 new doctors in January and possibly starting meds.

We've been dealing with this for years and I've been wishing for the same thing each year. DS is 10 and had his first commitment at 6. Changing his meds every few months until we finally found something that seemed to work longer than the others.
