With my formal black trousers, black cashmere cardi and black party lace skirt, these are the only black items I own.

I never wear black, but bought the dress just in case I have a funeral to go to.

Why do others have a lot? Do you have a ton of clothes in general or do you like to wear black?

Good question, I have about 50 dresses. I would say 1/3 are black. I love black. A lot.

4 dressy
5 or so for work
Not counting skirt separates and pantsuits. Yes, I wear a lot of black. But I try to pair the non dressy stuff with bright cardigans or button down shirts, etc.

I have black dogs, so all I wear is black.

I have six: a cocktail dress, a shift made out of wool suiting fabric, a wool dress with sleeves, a faux wrap jersey dress, a low-cut long sleeved jersey "winter date night" dress, and a sleeveless low-cut jersey "summer date night" dress.

4-5 I think. Enough that I left one at the dry cleaners for six months after my 40th birthday party without missing it. But that is more of a lack of places to wear LBDs than a lack of LBDs issue. But I have lots of other party clothes that are not black dresses as well.

So, do you always wear the same one??"????????.

Yes. Does it matter?

No, but it's odd. People will remember. Unless you are very strategic.

Do you just have few dresses or do you prefer color?

People will remember. Are you kidding?

No, I'm not kidding. My cousin wore the same suit to every event for years. Aunts noticed and it became a running joke.

Now, that's not very nice.
My husband can't be bothered with clothes: he has a very small number of cold and warm outfits and rotates through them. Everybody's seen every single outfit on him. They fit him, and they're good quality, so... not sure what the problem is.
