| Any idea what the 2015 benchmark score(s) are? |
Probably will be somewhere around 130 or 132. Does not really matter, though. Simply submit a parent referral if full-time AAP is the right fit for your child. |
| Did anyone recieve it? |
I call BS on this one. Don't they announce the benchmark scores before or simultaneous with sending the in-pool letters? I don't see the benchmark on the FCPS website. |

Just got CoGat scores today in mail. No in pool letter with it, though score on one of the subparts is 135 (99th percentile), so assuming in pool if they're still basing it on score for any one subtest of CoGat. Does anyone know if in pool letters are being mailed separately from scores this year?

| We got the results today but no pool letter. |
| What elementary school? |
| They switch each year if they go by composite index or sub test scores, so your child may not be in the pool. A couple years ago our results and in pool letter came together, |

Sorry we did actually get a pool letter. I flung papers around so furiously neurotically looking for the scores that I missed the letter the first time.
She is in the pool with a composite of 133. |

Last year's cutoff was 132. If this year's has been published I haven't seen it.
2014: This year, the benchmark score for the 2nd grade screening pool is 132 on either the first grade Naglieri Nonverbal Ability Test (NNAT) or any subtest score of the second grade Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT). The screening pool is for 2nd grade students only and is drawn from the fall testing windows from the first grade NNAT and second grade CogAT. Letters are being sent today, January 24, to families of students in the 2nd grade screening pool. Students who are not in the 2nd grade pool will not be notified. Test results from fall administration of the CogAT are expected to reach families via mail from the local school by the end of January. |

Oh well, guess they're using the composite this year then...my child's composite was 127 though he had a 135 on verbal, so was hoping they were going with the one subtest approach, as they did last year. For those who got in-pool letter with the scores, would you mind sharing your child's composite score (since FCPS refuses to post the benchmark, grrrr). Thanks! |
