My DH is snoring downstairs on the couch

It can sometimes be a chicken and egg situation. Research suggests that sleep apnea makes people put on weight, which is turn makes the apnea worse.

Can I complain about the cold air it blows on me all night?

We found that the Breathe Right strips (the brand, not the generic) worked well.

fyi one of the biggest reasons for snoring is excess weight. related to that is sleep issues…National Geographic and the NIH just did a show called "Sleepless in America" that is FANTASTIC. It's now on youtube and it's a real motivator to fix whatever is going on. I watched it with my DH because I wanted him to be bought-in. Timing worked out well too; because New Year's resolutions are around the corner and we're going to try and get more sleep (and lose weight so to improve the quality of the sleep)

OP here, funny all these comments. I eventually fell asleep after an hour. To the PP who asked about the door, it was closed already. I have a toddler so no earplugs for now. I turned on a noise machine app, which muffled it a little. I finally went down, woke him up and asked him to roll on his side. He was snoring again in five minutes, but not so loud. Hopefully tonight is better!

Does he snore every night?

If he does have sleep apnea, he basically dying at a faster rate than all of us.

I promise I won't. I have heard great things from friends whose spouse now uses it. This is why I am pushing the sleep study.

Definately do it. Mu husband snored for years. Now has the machine. Works like a charm. He sleeps better and so do I. GL.

DH just got a mouth guard for grinding, but he also had it made to help with snoring. I was skeptical, but it works pretty well. Not completely, but I don't live next to the train tracks anymore.

Lol I thought I was the only one who felt like I sleep in a wind tunnel!

Also, with the cpap, if the mask/nose pillows slip when they roll over it roars. When it gets too loud, I sleep with a feather pillow on my head. Muffles the loud roar/whistle when I can't get dh to shift.

Breathe right strips; also using a neti pot to rinse out your sinuses at night.

I actually had a sleep study insurance mostly paid for- I got a great night's sleep hooked up the all the wires cause my husband wasn't poking me awake every time I snored. Found I was snoring but not too badly and not cutting off my breathing and did not need a machine. I just occasionally have sinus problems and allergy issues.
