| Luke's. |
Her kid asked to try a lobster. That seems to me as good a reason as any for eating lobster. OP, my kid eats lobster once a year when Clyde's has their "lobster special of the month". It something we all look forward to as a family tradition. He liked lobster enough to participate in the family tradition (we'd be fine if he ordered something else), but not enough to choose it at other times of the year. |
| At Giant, you can buy a live lobster and they'll steam it for you for free. Take it home and eat. Simple and not too pricey. |
| Never had an issue with food poisoning at red lobster. Folks are pulling your leg. |
+1 Or if you want to go out, +1 to Legal Seafood |
| Lobster ME in Montgomery Mall |
Almost all large supermarkets do this - a very smart way to go (and I think I'm going to treat myself to one this week now that you've mentioned it!). |
| If you're out in the VA burbs, I'd say Fords fish shack. |
| Joe's Crab Shack |
| There is a new place in the food court in Montgomery mall. Try that and if he doesn't like it, there is always a McD a few feet away. |
| In Maine, during the summer. Doesn't seem right to be eating lobster in the cold. Luke's or Hank's Oyster Bar have decent lobster rolls, but it's a summer thing. |
Agreed. The Clam Shack in Kennebunk is the best I've had - and the cheapest. It is, in fact, a shack on the side of the pier. |

Yes to The Clam Shack! I love, love, love that place. Never thought I'd come across The Clam Shack on DCUM!! |
| I agree with the two PPs who suggested Giant. Lobster is extremely easy to cook. |
