Lactation consultant tongue tie

What issues PP? My issues seem to be more on my end (with my supply) and my last lactation consultant seemed at loss of what to do. I just want someone to check for tongue tie just in case, though I seriously doubt that that's the issue

PP here, I called Earl Harley about my DS, but was told he no longer does tongue tie corrections.

He did my daughter's today.

We saw the nurse practitioner who is also a lactation consultant at sleepy hollow pediatrics. She was great. My ds also had a mild tongue tie but was slow to gain weight and bf hurt. He was my 2nd and I had no problems with my first. Everyone was on the fence about whether ds needed it but ultimately we decided to do it and are very glad we did. The dr at sleepy hollow did it.

Also anyone at the BF Center. Both Susan at the free VHC groups and 2 LCs at the BF Center identified a tie. My ped and a ped ENT that we waited 2 weeks to see did not see evidence of a tie. Fast forward 2 more weeks and I went to Ashburn Children's Dentistry and they corrected a severe tongue and even more severe lip tie.

Ashburn Childrens Dentistry, Dr Rothman in Alexandria and Dr Harley are the go tos for this in the area.

Good luck. This is hard stuff but it can and will get easier.

He has done one that I have first hand knowledge about in the past month, so I think you got bad information.

Dr. Rothman in Alexandria corrected my daughter's tongue tie as an infant. The Northern Virginia Breastfeeding Center in fairfax sent us there.

I generally didn't love Kathy at Bethesda Breastfeeding, but she did recognize that my DD's tongue tie had partially re-adhered and needed to be clipped a second time. I could easily see the original tongue tie when it was pointed out but for the life of me it looked normal when she diagnosed it again, and she was right.
