| My FIL does this too. And after he holds my DD she smells like him for hours. It's kinda gross, kinda amusing. He's a lovely man, though, so we just go with it... |
I was thinking the same thing. My good friend who HS aged boys always talks about half of her house reeking of Axe. Haha. My dad wears a lot of scent for a man, or heck, for a woman. He's a 70s era, Norther NJ, Saturday Night fever holdover. |

My sister asked if she could buy Axe body spray for my 9 yo for Christmas. I politely declined, but was left marveling that there is a market for that sh!t.
My father went through a period of time, probably in his late 50s, when he doused himself with cologne on a daily basis. I think someone said something to him (glad it didn't have to be me) because he eventually discontinued the practice. In my 20s I DID have to say something to my Italian boyfriend about his overuse of cologne. That was awkward, but he stopped immediately. I don't know what's going on with your FIL. Is it possible he has incontinence issues and is trying to mask the smell? |
| They think the ladies like it and it becomes a routine. Seriously. DH had to tell his dad to tone it down a bit. |
