Periods started early - severe cough

I’m so relieved this is a normal thing! I have the flu right now and just got my period two weeks early and im certain it’s the coughing. It’s like when they say not to carry heavy things on your period or you’ll bleed more. The severe cough hurtsss

The same has happened to me but I’m in the menapause and haven’t had a period for five years!!!The coughing has deffo brought this on x

Thank you SO much!!!! for this thread. I was freaking out! I just got really sick and have been coughing so so hard for a week daily, and got my period two weeks after just having it. FREAKED ME OUT. Thank you SO MUCH LADIES!!!!!

Doesn't matter how old this thread is. It helped me today as well. I started my period two weeks early and have been pretty sick all week with a really bad cough and a fever and chills.

This is true. I had a major abdominal surgery and my period was not due for 3 weeks but began as soon as I was in recovery. That was a fun surprise. Doc said it’s very common.
