| Just flew Dulles to Minneapolis. Cheap and on time. Brought one small carry on. What's not to love? |
|
I USED to fly them all the time. Cheapest, had a direct flight that I used a lot, they'd give you the whole can of soda, warm cookies--lots of little things, LOL.
BUT, it's not like that anymore. They change routes all the time, drop flights, etc. They now also charge per bag whether its carryon or checked, UNLESS you book through them. Total crock. The last time I used them I flew Reagan to WI round trip for less than $100, so I can't complain about that! |
|
"Also, they charge you for printing a ticket, so print at home before you leave."
What's the charge? Could not find this on the website. |
+1 they totally screwed me over. If they didn't have such a good connection between DCA and my hometown, I'd avoid them at all costs. |
| I flew them recently, they lost our bag. Because there were so few flights, they didn't get it to us until right before we left. They did reimburse us for clothing. It was a pain though. |

Bumping this thread up because we are considering using them to Orlando. the RT tickets is $150 cheaper PP than any other airline. Hoping that getting the first non-stop flight of the day will help.
Any recent updates on flights and customer service? |
| Crap!! I booked my mom a flight here from Atlanta and used this airline because they were one of the few offering nonstop flights (she hates flying so I try to get her nonstop flights to minimize her stress during takeoff and landing). Didn't realize they sucked! She's just bringing a carry on and I did purchase travel insurance so hopefully it'll go smoothly. |
| 8 times out of ten it will be fine, and worth it if you can save some bucks. We had a good experience. But if you get screwed, you get really screwed. |
| My family uses frontier 3-6 times per year. I take a personal item and no carry on. It is the rock bottom cheapest direct flight for us. (DCA-DEN) The planes are nicer than the Southwest planes I've been on. Many have direct tv, which is nice. I've never had an issue with delays, there are no perks onboard but they have good sales. I have good and bad experiences on other airlines, but in general, flying economy sucks. |

It's fine. You can take a pretty good size bag as your "personal item," like a backpack or large tote, so it's easy to avoid the carry on fees. We did pay the extra money up front to choose our seat since we were flying with kids, but otherwise I think you can wait until check in to choose.
I did come back a day earlier than I had to because I know that if a flight gets cancelled it can be difficult to get another one. |
| Just flew them last weekend back from Florida to IAD. No problems at all and, in fact, the plane took off 10 min early and landed 15 min early. Clean, nice planes. Yes, you pay for every little thing but overall, much cheaper than any other flight even with the extras ($79 base fare plus $20 to reserve a seat in row 3 -- some seats are cheaper but not much was left when I booked late; plus $30 to take an extra carry on with me in the plane -- would have been $20 to check it but I didn't feel like waiting for it when I arrived). I was pleased. |
| Took it to vegas via Denver. It was awesome. TVs at each seat. No issues. |
| Only airline I've ever flown where the flight attendant has offered to help with my baby/toddler. |
Military gets free checked bags and carry ons. |
+1000 I lost about $750 thanks to their terrible customer service. |
