What fruits and vegetables did you eat today?

Saw this post and realized that all I had today was guacamole. Got up, had two carrots, an apple and now having a serving of blueberries. It was a run around day and I ate horribly. Back on track tomorrow.

Not a great day for me veggie-wise.

Banana
Pear
1/2 c. Carrots
1/2 c. Chickpeas
1 cup broccoli

There is a soup I make that uses carrots, sweet potato, kale, chickpeas and a large amount of onion. I don't worry about veggies on days I eat that.

I'll be the one that admits not much- had green beans with dinner but that's it. We do give fruits and veggies to our kids - and tie it to dessert so maybe I didn't earn this glass of wine today!

Sweet potato and 1/3 of a thing of asparagus for dinner.

A grapefruit.

Not a very healthy day.

Spear?

That wouldn't be a lot of asparagus! Hehe, no, a bunch? Do you say a bunch of asparagus? A bouquet?

breakfast - veggie soup 2-3 servings
spinach and berry smoothie
lunch - avocado and cucumber, 1/4 of a pear
dinner - cherry tomatoes, more soup (butternut squash and turnip) and regular tomatoes and garlic

Apple slices at breakfast.
Sesame kale for lunch, which is to die for.
Canned pears (yes I like them) as a snack.
Salad for dinner with the usual suspects plus avocado.

I eat better on weekdays.

Are deep fried oreos vegetables? I'm on vacation. Oh wait, there was an iceberg lettuce salad with dinner.

In between leftover Halloween candy, I had:
The fall harvest salad (greens, Brussels sprouts, sweet potatoes) from sweet green
Butternut squash soup
Crudités--carrots, cherry tomatoes, cauliflower
Guacacamole with too many addictive chips
Raisins in my oatmeal

If I could cut out the junk, I probably eat enough veggies.

2 peppers worth of roasted peppers

Yesterday

3 cups mixed greens
Full green pepper
One half of each of the other peppers: orange, red, yellow
A few clementines (3 or 4- I Hoover them down so quickly I don't always count)
1/2 tomato
1/2 bunch black kale

It was really a sucky food day all around (as in I mindlessly ate a chicken breast and clementine at the fridge, I was so hungry when I finally got to breakfast), with dinner being the only meal I truly engaged in. Usually I would easily double the F&V. Most days Would definitely include 1/2 avocado, and at least a cup of berries.

Me too, please!

And no shame in your love of canned pears, PP. I love them, too, as long as they're in juice and not syrup.
