I often do broccoli salad or green beans with pomegranate seeds in a balsamic dressing (which looks festive, and you can also add nuts, cheese or bacon if you wanted).

1 box Jiffy (must be Jiffy) corn muffin mix
1 can corn
1 can creamed corn
1 stick melted butter
1 8 oz container sour cream

Mix it all up, pour it in a baking dish, 1 hour at 375. Always my family's favorite.

Gahd almighty woman I'm as white as they come but THIS IS A WHITE PEOPLE FOOD TOO FAR

But my favorite Thanksgiving side is coleslaw. The traditional German, vinegar type. A great, cool complement to all those carbs.

So? Thanksgiving is the white people's holiday of all white people's holidays. It's okay to eat decadent things one day a year!

We had our office potluck today and I brought this: http://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/tees-corn-pudding-2

The pan is now empty. It's really easy to make and always a hit! Instead of the fresh corn, I used thawed frozen corn.
