Is Veterans Day a FCPS holiday?

I ponder these things when the school board comes begging for more money every year.

You do realize that SACC is not a program of the Fairfax County Public Schools? It is a Fairfax County Government program. No funding from the schools goes to SACC.

You do realize I'm paying for SACC and I could not care less how they divide their petty fiefdoms? So put a school employee in there to answer the phones on their precious government holiday that no one in the private sector enjoys.

Sure - we’ll have it your way. Let’s put a school employee in there (who will leave their actual job unattended). That school employee will answer your phone call, because, after all, it IS all about you. And, then that school employee will tell you that s/he does not know the answer to your question because -- surprise -- the SACC program is run by FC government and NOT FCPS. It would be like moving you out of your private sector job to another job in a different business, which you have not been trained to do, and expecting you to pick up and carry on.

But they learn about it in school. Our school is having an assembly to honor vets today.

Mine, too. One of the dads who recently returned from deployment will be making a presentation. Every other years, the upper elementary students visit the nearby retirement home for veterans and play instruments, sing, and play board games with the residents.

Is today the ONLY day you could have asked this pressing question? For the life of me, I can't think of ANY question concerning SACC that couldn't wait a day or a week.

Yes. Do what the rest of us do, take kids to school, go home and have loud sex.

So, I guess you missed the part about schools being open today?

Oh no! Princess has to wait a day to get her question answered. So sad! At least that employee has a day off from dealing with people like you.
