Crock Pot Mashed Potatoes?

Thank you. Between the guests, the kids, keeping the toddler from unsetting the table, making the turkey, stuffing, vegetables, serving everything, socializing with my guests, and actually trying to enjoy myself, anything I can prepare and cook in the morning in a crock pot would be helpful. Thanks to those with helpful suggestions.

You can make the mashed potatoes the day before and then heat them in the slow cooker. It's can be one less thing for you to worry about on the day. Good luck and have fun!

Thanks for your help. Perhaps we have lots of company coming. And lots of other things on the stove. Go back to the school's forum if you need to be unpleasant.

I agree with PP. Do them hours or a day before hand and reheat them if necessary. This isn't a crockpot food.

You can pretty much make everything in a crock pot. Including the turkey, stuffing, and vegetables. Well, if you have enough crock pots anyway.

I just bought a bigger one to supplement my grandmother's 1950 crockpot. Time to start practicing! I love the idea of making mashed potatoes the day before and heating them in the crockpot! I will try that tomorrow. Thanks!
