I personally have not jumped on the 200-dollar-blue jean bandwagon. Blue jeans are supposed to look casual and comfy. I'm not saying you should wear mom jeans or any old thing -- but these very fancy jeans that cost an arm and a leg and need to be HEMMED look silly to me. Hemmed jeans?

The most I'll pay is 80 or so for a pair of Lucky Brand Jeans. I like the Gap and Levis too.

What's the problem with hemmed jeans? What am I supposed to do if the jeans are too long? Cut them and leave them? Call me crazy, but that would look terrible.

I agree about the hemming. I think most women have trouble finding pants that are exactly the right length. Hemming is an easy solution.

Ditto. I'm short (5'3") and always have to get my jeans hemmed if I don't buy petite (sometimes petite are actually too short if I want to wear a heel). So even if I buy a cheap pair of jeans at the Gap I have to have them hemmed.
