When one spouse is sick

Guest room. We have crap immune systems and young kids and can't risk getting g it or losing sleep. Sick person takes guest room.

It would depend on many factors.

For instance, if my spouse had a severe cold or the flu and I had a full-time job and/or young children to care for then I most certainly would prefer not to sleep in the same bed w/him while he is ill because it would be highly likely that I would catch what he had very soon.

But if he had the flu and I had already had a flu shot or if I didn't have young children to care for or a job outside the home that was not flexible, then I might chance it.

My guess is is germs are going to spread it will be from touching things in the house, not necessarily sleeping time. My DH thinks he's sick every time I'm sick which is very annoying.

We still sleep together. The only time I went to the couch is when I had a nonstop cough and I felt bad for keeping him up. We don't even refrain from kissing when sick. I just figure if we're going to get it we're going to get it. There have actually only been a couple time where we've given each other something. Also, a lot of times the sickness will not be as bad for the other if they do get it.
