Stuffy nose is causing me to have panic attacks

And good call on the no heat. Cool air will help keep mucous down.

I had my OB prescribe Flonase (which I'd used for allergies in the past) and it was very helpful. Used it in both pregnancies even though it's class C, and have two very healthy children.

OP here - thank you to EVERYONE!
I'm sitting in the waiting room at my OBs office and will ask about rhinocourt aqua or Flonase.
Will also pick up those breathe rite strips.
I'm desperate and willing to do anything at this point - I'm so miserable.

+ humidifier and more saline spray. I also liked the sinus rinse thing (like the neti pot but you squeeze the bottle so there's a little more force). Warm compresses on your nose/sinus area might help too. I also used the decongestant. It totally sucks and I do not envy you.

Also helped me to sleep at a bit of an incline (just pile up the pillows or we actually had a crib wedge pillow that I used on my side for a bit)

OP here. So frustrated! My OBs office is so damn conservative and wouldn't give me a spray. They want me to see an ENT to have them assess which I know will take me weeks to get in and see. I begged. I pleaded. No dice. So ridiculous!!!!!!
I'm just going to head to urgent care and get them to write a spray for me.
It shouldn't be this damn difficult to get what I need to feel better.

Ummm..Afrin? Yes it can be addictive but I cannot stand a stuffy nose. The generic no drip nose spray works within a couple of minutes and my nose is wide open. Any nose spray with oxymetazoline in it should do wonders

I thought it was Class B? But yes I also took this throughout the third trimester last pregnancy, and I have it on hand with this one.

I got the prescription from an ENT surgeon.

I got in to see an ENT the day after I called them.

Good luck.

Also I think you can get Nasacort OTC.

I would just make an ENT appointment ASAP and in the meantime if you have to take afrin or sudafed sparingly then it is what it is. I have a deviated septum and never found that anything else (Neti, etc.) worked for me.

Get a humidifier for sure!

Breathe rite and humidifier next to your bed.

Call Feldman ENT. They usually have same day appointments. They're great.

Feel ya OP - i felt like i was underwater - physically underwater - for the last 1/2 of my pregnancy. My ears - my entire head was clogged. My OB just said "yep, you produce a lot of extra fluid when you are pregnant"
Hang in there!

Ummm, by now OP has had her baby and her congestion is probably gone. Thanks for playing though.
