I love that one. |
Never heard that one! |
| That Mikey died after eating pop rocks and drinking coke! |
I will now never buy organic bananas at Whole Foods. Or probably regular bananas anywhere. |
OMG Did you grow up in Mantua, Fairfax County???? |
| Oranjello and Lemonjello or La-A |
|
Lotus boob.
Even though it's been debunked, it still gives me the willies! |
I was going to say this |
| Bunny Man is a Clifton, Va story. |
| Even though Clifton is not really "urban," it is my very favorite. |
The college student one is freaky. I didn't know some of these, or had to be reminded of some. I did some googling: I didn't know some of these either. The Bunny Man http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bunny_Man Orangello/Lemonjello http://www.namenerds.com/uucn/advice/urbanlegends.html Bloody Mary http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bloody_Mary_(folklore) Goat Man http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goatman_(Maryland) Moth Man http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mothman You have to google lotus boob yourself -- the pictures are gross. Mine was going to be the hook man (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hook), but I think my favorite is the killer in the back seat: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killer_in_the_backseat. |

I always liked this one, about the hitchhiker:

The newer version, posted online is pretty damn creepy. I don't get creeped out often.... |
Great song - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YkADj0TPrJA Wiki on the legend - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In_the_Air_Tonight#Urban_legend Snopes take on it - http://www.snopes.com/music/songs/intheair.asp |

I like the one where the babysitter keeps getting crank phone calls, so she calls the local telephone company and gets the operator to find out where the calls are originating from. The operator checks it out and calls back in five minutes and tells her the calls are coming from an upstairs extension, presumably from the attic!!
Or the Urban Legend that if you drink soda and eat pop rocks your stomach will explode. Pop rocks and coke. Try it. |
