I have it OP - Im on week 2 - its a weird cold where all I had was a bad headache, malaise, and an awful sore throat. never had a runny nose. only salt water and advil seems to be helping. but i started myself on echinacea mixed with goldenseal too - that cures a lot of post-cold infections in a few days, fingers crossed.


oh - and im using Afrin.

I've been giving my 5 yr old Claritin Jr when he gets a cough. He has a tendency for it to develop into wheezing and asthma and we found that adding in the Claritin Jr has really helped minimize the asthma related coughing. Our pediartrician suggested it with the thought behind it that it could be allergy related post nasal drip that is contributing to the cough and irritating the bronchi - especially lying down at night.

Op--try limiting/eliminating dairy while you're recovering. This helps our family a ton when we are sick. Dairy can promote mucus.
