Except for the, you know, poisonous dog treats they've been sending over here. |

I have a fake designer bag that is so well made - bought in China - that everyone who sees it raves about how great it looks. A couple of people have gone and bought the same bag except they bought the real thing.
When I bought it, I was told that it was a genuine bag but the designer's QC department rejected it because of a very minor imperfection that most people would not even notice. The sales rep showed me what it was otherwise I would not have known. It did cost more than the usual fake bags but still a fraction of a genuine one. Most of the price of these designer bags is for the status of owning it. Sure the quality is better but if the very same bag were sold without the designer insignia it would not have the cache of owning a designer bag. |
The fake bags made from inferior materials to make up for the margins There is no way counterfeiters can compete with genuine manufactures So the have to cut corners And the use child labor... And they don't follow environmental laws Another words-stop buying fakes! |

You've posted 4-5 times in this thread. Why do they all look like poems or haiku? |
I have a very good idea about supply chain, hence why I know these authentic designer handbags are a sham. You are paying prices higher than used to be commanded when they goods were still made in Europe by hand, but the companies have migrated the production to subpar Chinese factories to maximize their profit. People should realize that's why the products are so unreliable now, and understand what they are paying for (sizzle not steak). But maybe if the recession in Europe worsens and deflation takes hold, we'll see production starting up there again. Especially for Italy, which has a mountain of debt to pay off. |
Same writing style as the poster who wants to leave her husband for her "soul mate".

| You women live in such a different world than I do. I have a hard time believing you even exist. I have some wealthy friends and some poor friends and mostly middle class friends, but nobody I have met would give a thought to designer labels and certainly none of them would buy those tacky old lady logo bags. |
Not to get too far off-track - but there have been plenty of poison scares in the US, too. Remember when people died from eating spinach? Made in the USA, made in Europe - these are nice marketing tools. I don't believe they actually tell us much about quality. |
The price increase also includes a brandprotection teams and law enforcement policies |

I know lots of middle class women who buy expensive purses.
I will happily spend thousands on something that I feel is worth thousands of dollars. Unfortunately, I have NEVER seen any handbag or purse that seems to be worth that much. And since a logo never sways me, I do not waste my money there. I am so happy that I always found COACH utterly ugly and stayed away from it. I find most of the designer bags utterly horrible, but I do find some styles and colors of purses and handbags very attractive and stylish, and I will buy those. They have always been less than 100 bucks. |
Do you live in DC? |
| And I personally prefer factories going back to USA instead of Europe ,it's the only way to save our shrinking middle class right now |
