Clorox wipes on an airplane?

Last time I flew, i wiped the tray with a facial towlette, amd it came back FILTHY. Really grossed me out that I'd never done it before!

Op, I think it's a great idea to wipe down the trays. I'd be surprised if the airlines ever did it.

i always wipe everything with baby wipes when i travel with my kids - their tables, on both sides, the armrests,... all surfaces that can be wiped

I do it every time I fly with my daughter. Toddler hands touch everything and end up in their mouths. I wipe down anything within her reach including the arms, seat, window/wall, tray and seat pocket. I do a quick wipe down on my own tray and arm rest as well.

PLanes are disgusting and nasty.

I always wipe as much as I can in an airplane. Same with the grocery store carts. And I use a cart cover for my baby, too. People used to look at me like I was crazy. Not any more, I guess.

I have to carry paper towels to use while filling gas. Eww filthy. Not all gas stations carry it.

Ok, but where do you put the wipes when you are done, and how do you clean your hands?

OP here. I guess I'll bring a ziploc bag for the used wipes and Purell for my hands...unless I go full throttle and wear latex gloves

The latex gloves are a good idea! I really don't care what people think. We are flying with Southwest, so I'm just hoping I will find seats together with my kids so I can wipe everything.

Not me. I grab that nozzle with my bare hand.

You do know Chlorox wipes aren't bleach, right?

Those don't work you either need a bleach based or the hydrogen peroxide health grade wipes.

Don't you think you should check to see if anyone near you has latex allergies near you?

Do what you can, but don't make yourself crazy!

Just flew yesterday and there were a number of us doing this. Not crazy.

And even if you're not using the most effective thing, any little bit will make you feel better. Hand sanitizer, etc.

OP here. We have six seats across one row, so I'm not worried about latex allergies since no one will be seated with us outside our family.
