Rant: Is it just me or is Grey's Anatomy trying to force way too many boring new characters on us?

I like a Avery and the Christian redhead chick. They're a cute couple and he is one of the hottest guys on tv. I also like christina's ex and still like Karev. I Agree that the new sister is a odd plot choice and not very interesting but I guess it gives a plot line to the chief, who was sort of running dry. All these shows have the same problem--happened to ER too.

I agree, I like Avery too (this is who I meant in my OP, not "Alex" - I like Avery AND Karev). Also agree that it's meant to give the Chief a new plot line, as well as Meredith. I just think this was such a lame, shark-jumping way to do it since Meredith has already had one surprise sister and we already know how hostile she's going to be to said new sister. Been there, done that, saw those episodes. I really can't believe they stooped this low, to repeat an already-ridiculous plot line FOR THE SAME CHARACTER. I also don't like where things are headed with the new sister and Owen - he's such a good actor that he's able to generate chemistry with pretty much anyone, so he's the obvious choice and crutch to prop up this new character, but come on. Is he going to have a thing with every head of cardio who comes through?

My dream is that they'll bring back a few old characters. Kate Walsh would be nice since I hear her new show sucks. I always liked Teddy. Too bad they killed George instead of just letting him join the Army - we could really use him again.

Yes. With Lexi, she and Meredith had the same dad. With the new one, they have the same mom (Richard Is the dad of the new one)

I actually like the new sister for what she does for Richard, who is one of my favorite characters. I also love Owen but I hate who he's become. Avery and April are pretty dull but the worst couple onscreen is Arizona and Callie. Those two do nothing but argue about "huge" life issues all the time. Bring back YANG and McSteamy. I miss those two much more than whiny old George.

Arizona and Callie are awful. Are they ever not fighting and fussing at each other in the middle of the hospital?

Yang and Bailey were/are far more the stars of GA than Meredith ever was. More charisma, funnier, better roles, better actresses. I think Oh's departure is the beginning of the end for this show.

I think he just found out about her at the end of last season. He hasn't even told her yet that he's her father.
