Strange Videos on my DD's PC

Does seem to be some kind of metaphor. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yd6JPm58wSk
Better than cutting I guess.

1. your daughter has a very obscure, weird fetish she is just starting to discover and explore (she's certainly the right age)

2. your daughter did what most of us do at some point or another - go on youtube to search "how to make muffins" or whatever and end up down a youtube black hole where 7 hours later, you're watching videos of someone dressed up like a hot dog lip synching to Michael Bublé.

either way, I'd just let it go. Unless you're seeing other red flags from her behaviour, this is just run of the mill internet exploration.

I agree with this.

Maybe she's looking into actually making videos like these to make some money. People have weird fetishes, OP. Pretty much anything you can think of could be somebody's go-to for some sort of gratification, whether sexual or psychological. I knew somebody who's video of a balloon-popping childrens' birthday party game was getting tons of views and comments from strangers, which is how she learned of the "watching children pop balloons" fetish. There's also the thing where people find the sounds of whispering, typing, or cutting paper to be intensely soothing. So, there's videos for that. Maybe your daughter is looking into an easy way to make a few bucks. Maybe?

I will loathe the idea if she was really cutting up her clothes and wasting it to make a video. I wonder how any coats she would have needed to cut to get paid just to cover the cost of the coat! Meanwhile there are many people here struggling out in the cold....

True event: I started out on YouTube looking for Easter egg coloring ideas, 45 minutes later I watched a woman give herself a full Brazilian wax...yep, all the way around with no help.

Your daughter isn't in a satanic cult that sacrifices gore-tex; she is surfing YouTube and laughing at how many different types of people there are in the world.

You're a good mom for worrying but there's nothing here but curiosity.

Lol!!
Can just imagine starting out with hot wax for color resist and moving on from
There. Thanks for the reminder!
