OP made sense to me.
Her ex is a serial dater.
Her ex likes her husband and his former wife.
Her ex doesn't like the women her ex dates/marries.

Always be kind, even to TDY.

Even if you know she will not be a wife for long, if your child is truly attached to her, there is no reason why *you* can't have a relationship with her in the future, and allow your child to stay in touch.
