Agree with previous posters about Bourbon, or Capital Grille which is right on Pennsylvania Ave and in sight of the Capitol Building. Perfect to impress business clients from out of town. Charlie Palmer is also down in that neighborhood.

I wouldn't go for anything. It used to be awesome, but they were bought by the chain that owns McCormick & Schmick and have gone way downhill.

Ah that's a real bummer. Morton's use to have really good Chicago style steaks. How has it changed? Just a lower cut of steak? No dry aging? Or just bad chefs/cooks now?

I hesitate to say it, but, uh, Ruth's Chris.

PP here - the last time I went the service was lackluster/non-existent, the decor was redone and tacky (think bad hotel ballroom vs. red leather/wood clubby feel), inferior quality meat (lots of gristle), the restaurant was empty, etc, etc, etc. First time I walked out of there not feeling like I had "dined" and enjoyed a good steak in the process.

I would do Del Frisco's Double Eagle only because it just opened so there will be a little scene/buzz.
