What's a missed miscarriage?
How do you have an IVF that results in ectopic? Thought they implant in uterus and that skips the tubes. Me: 4 Unmedicated IUIs (single; age 39) 3 Medicated IUIs 1 IVF - successful with twins but one unexplained loss at 18 weeks and jeopardized the other baby way down the road and he eventually died at birth 1 FET - successful but early and holding my breath My story looked pretty good until it went horribly wrong and now it's taken on a whole different level of a journey. You just do the best with the hand you're dealt. |

9 mos trying on own.
Went for work up, only issues revealed were MF (morphology and motility). Tried 2 unmedicated IUIs (RE said "why not?" while we waiting to change to insurance with fertility coverage). -- 2 BFPs 1 fresh IVF - mmc at 7 weeks (D&C) 1 fresh IVF - BFN 1 FET - BFN 1 FET - chemical surgery for Asherman's (likely from the mmc and D&C to remove) 1 fresh IVF - DD is 8.5 months It's a long road. I had pretty much given up all hope by that final fresh IVF...mostly just doing it for DH and to see if the surgery worked (really didn't believe it would/could), was shocked to see a pink line. Expected to miscarry every day until about 22 weeks. That's the part of the BFP that they don't tell you. But eventually, whatever happens, it gets easier. |
| No one should have to suffer so much to have a family. Hugs to all the PPs. I'm still working on having a successful pregnancy as well. |

Thank you!!

14 months of trying naturally - FAIL
8 months and 4 IUIs (one cycle had too many follicles and had to end the cycle before trigger; following month had a huge cyst that took two cycles to go away with the help of BCPs) 1 round IVF - first child (two frozen embryos) one year later ... 4 months of trying naturally - FAIL FET #1 - FAIL FET#2 - FAIL IVF #1 - FAIL IVF #2 - b/g twins, now 13 months. BTW, only had 6 eggs retrieved that cycle and only two made it to day 5. |

I literally could not list the number of fails because there are so many, although I do remember each miscarriage and my one stillborn.
However, its the one success that counts- and I hug her every day. Hang in there everybody. Stay positive!! |

Just to give another perspective, we have zero fertility issues. I am a good responder to drugs and DH has good swimmers. We utilize IVF/PGD for non-fertility genetic reasons. We have had one success (healthy DS) out of 3 stim cycles and 4 FETs and probably at Day5 pre-PGD ~ 40 embryos total. At the end of the day statistically it's like 30% successful in the best situations, so try not to beat yourself up. I know it's easier said than done, but at some point the numbers will turn in your favor, especially if your RE knows what kinds of adjustments to make. The hope is the numbers work before the $ stops, right?
Good luck. All of you guys! |
