Is the debt of Pharmacy school worth it?

I think a lot of the duties of a pharmacist could be automated. Sees like a risky field long term.

huh?

Doctors of Pharmacy (PharmD) are relied on for their drug knowledge. This knowledge can not be "automated". Some tasks at cvs, maybe, but you're missing the much bigger picture.

Some biotech companies hire PharmDs (Luke Genentech, Gilead , Amgen, etc.) and compensate their employees very well.

I thought about pharm school until I worked in a pharmacy for a little while. Make sure she's had some pharmacy tech experience first before she decides to make the commitment.

Dental school would be a better choice. Higher income, no weekends and a female can work part-time.

You cap out at 110k but if you go into sales you can make up to a half million

My neighbor is a pharmacist and said for her, hospitals paid more than CVS type places. SHe also like the hospital setting more than retail.

Many varied positions in pharmacy ranging from retail, in-patient staffing, clinical, industry to government. Salaries range from about $100K-$250k. The student loan debt is ridiculous and most of us just ignore it and vow to pay it off before retirement.

I work at FDA with a many pharmacists. They make 100k +.
