| It depends on the program, what programs are offered at what school, and your individual usage. Some programs only do a flat all or nothing fee. Some programs allow you to customize with days/before/after. You have to find out what is offered at your school. |
| ~ $112/week (after only), and they are open for school closings (less public holidays) and winter and spring breaks. Cost is the same throughout ES. |
| I think we're $530 a month for before and after care all days. You can elect to do only some days and reduce that cost. |
That is awful. They upcharge at some schools to lower the costs at others? Not everyone in certain schools can afford the heftier tag. I am shocked they allow this and people put up with it. |
| This is not true. Each school selects a company (some schools choose not to have aftercare). Each company charges what it wants. There is no wealth redistribution. |
A friend who used the same provider at another ES said she got what she paid for and was generally disappointed in the care. |
| Chevy Chase - we pay about 650 per month per kid. Includes lots of great programs like cooking, painting and catered snacks. |
i don't think this is true at all. our provider is at a bunch of schools in mcps. we are BY FAR the most expensive and as far as i can tell our programming is worse. cheap, horrible snacks and basically no structured anything in the afternoons. at another school where they have a program and that is cheaper by $100 a month they have a bunch of afternoon activities.

Funny you mentioned that. If you go to Bar-T, they won't give you an estimate until you type or tell them the school. I know the program is the same. Shouldn't the price be? Very very sketchy. |
| Some schools don't have room for all the kids in the aftercare programs at the school. You may have to pay more for private options. Call the school you would be attending and ask if there is a waiting list for before/aftercare.. |
