DH is in arrears our accounts

When a young working class man does this, we call him irresponsible.

I would hope we would say this no matter what his age or SES is. That said, who's to say OP's DH isn't a young, working class man?

Anyway, good luck raising kids with an uncaring, irresponsible man like this, OP.

Here's a clue - the way he's treating his child with his ex today is the way he will treat his child with you once you guys have split.

You don't say why he is in arrears. If it's true financial hardship, can he not ask for a variance order?

We are expanding our family

He doesn't pay for (nor do you want to) the children he already has and you want to create more?! You DO know that the position his XW and children are in now will be YOUR position in a few years, right? You're both selfish

Wow. So many PPs said just what I wanted to say, from 15:11 on.

He needs to pay for the children he's already fathered. You need to support that. If you cannot support the idea of him paying his obligations to children he's already fathered, you have no business bringing a child into this relationship.

I don't believe this is true. From my understanding, anything HIS name is on can be frozen/seized. Whether jointly owned or not.

If he is in arrears, they can take money from any account with his name on it. They can also take any income tax refund from a joint filling.

$10 says OP is hard at work separating accounts. Or maybe even arranging a handy divorce.

Of course OP isn't going to divorce. She wants her husbands money! Screw his other kid.

I actually think OP is worse than her pathetic excuse of a husband

It's easier to open new accounts than to get a divorce.

OP, you picked a real loser. Do not have children with this irresponsible douchebag.
