The lunch line. I've heard that kids can spend 75% of their lunch waiting in line just to buy milk.

The 16-count boxes were on sale at Wegmans last week. I bought two boxes!

They go on sale at Whole Foods every once in awhile.

That was our issue too.

Why don't you send water? I was just at the pediatrician for my 2 year old's check up and she said to drop down to 12 ounces now since he is in the 50th percentile for weight and doesn't need to gain. Does a kid need more as he gets older?

Milk is the main source of calcium for my 5 yr old DS.

Does Horizon come in skim milk? I am looking for fat-free, lactose free, organic milk for school lunchbox.

Horizon comes in 1%, but it's not lactose free.

No. My kid wouldn't drink it.

No.

We just send water. It's totally fine. The kids don't NEED milk, but some parents like to send it.

Mine won't, either. I don't think it tastes that different, but he will not touch it.

OP, why not just buy a thermos and send whatever milk you ordinarily buy to use at home? Much easier, cheaper, and less wasteful.

This is what we do and we pack the lunch with a blue ice thing so that we give any leftover milk at dinnertime.
