This is one of those times to lean on a peer, not your mom, with a mom like that.

+2.

My sister calls my mom 3x a day to tell her what she ate for lunch or what clearance outfit she bought my nephew at Carters (not kidding.) and the. She wonders why my mom is all in her business.

Your mother sounds like a lovely, caring person who is a huge help for her daughter, the wicked witch. Perhaps you are adopted.

OP, I was a little unsure myself but after I read your second post (which it seems most other people didn't see) -- yeah she sounds obnoxious. Hope drop off went ok today!!!

All this drama for KG drop-off? LMAO

OP, get meds.

Oy.

OP, I'm sure you mean well, but you are way too stressed out about this stuff. Exactly what are you looking for from her? An affirmation that you are supposed to be so stressed out b/c YOU don't know where you are supposed to pick up your kid.

Have a little faith in the school system. They are very used to little kindergartners and making sure they get home safely.

And listen, try not to just get defensive about this comment. The reality is that there are a lot of firsts that your child will go through. Do yourself (and your child, who can pick up on your stress) a favor and learn to relax a bit.
