Help! How to deal with "mean moms?"

Just "warning" people about me - there is no truth to it. I am a nice mom just trying to make my way in this cutthroat city. I think my only "vice" is that I am too nice. Seriously. I think people get scared off by it b/c they perceive it as desperate or something.

No such thing as "too nice" in my book. Just keep doing your thing and be nice to everyone. The people worth being your friend will eventually see through the "mean mom" silliness and will warm up to you. And in the meantime, I hope you meet other nice moms like yourself!!

Seriously. People can't gossip and back-bite about you if you don't interact with them -- well, maybe they can, but they lose all credibility when they haven't spoken a word to the person in months. Stop being nice to her. Stay away from her.
