| Just to make you feel better, when we lived in NJ our yearly property taxes were 30k! Monthly, close to 2/3 of our mortgage payment was taxes and insurance. It was nuts (and one of the reasons we like it better in MD). People around DC complain about high taxes but they have no idea. |

Original mortgage of 345000 from March of 2013 was
3250 piti..15 yr loan at 2.875 paid biweekly. Loan amount now is 318000. A 15 year biweekly schedule is great for getting through a loan quickly....although if we were younger I would go for the 30 year loan unless there was a huge difference in interest rate. |
