Is this an appropriate top to wear under a suit jacket for an interview?

Who can and cannot pull off a white shirt with a black suit? That's a classic look. (white and black, not necessarily this shirt)


Very classic but washes some people out completely (like me). Can't wear orange either.

Jewel tone is less formal than neutral for these purposes. If the sides of the shirt are entirely covered by the jacket, then this is fine. Otherwise, if it were law firm interviewing, it would not be formal enough.

I really like this shirt but it is not a formal office wear shirt.

I personally would wear a pressed blouse (white, light blue, light teal, light pink) under a suit. This shirt looks like a dressed up t-shirt (it's jersey fabric after all). Or a simple shell with a round neck, in a neutral fabric.
