Can I take my dog inside as long as there is no food sold?

Is there a rule against being a jack ass? We should have one. I know he loves his pet but a little consideration would go a long way. Dogs do not belong everywhere

I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you, I would be a little shocked if I saw a non-service dog in the library. I'm just wondering what makes the owner a jack ass? What precisely is the harm to others?

I have severe allergies to dogs, as do many other people. Allergies can be an annoyance (swollen eyes, runny nose, sneezing, itching) all the way up to causing asthma attacks and severe allergic reactions.

I would LOVE to see dogs in the library!

Many commercial leases say no non service animals.

I am also saying bs.

Link the Mo Co ordinance that says dogs are allowed in businesses.

I have brought my dog into CVS while walking her in order to pick up an item. Sometimes people are friendly, sometimes not. I would never try to bring her everywhere. Ridiculous.

No idiot, please don't have children

No you asshole, you cannot.

Some people are allergic to dogs, some people are afraid of dogs, and your dog COULD injure someone or make a mess.

Buildings are for people. Your home, your yard, and the dog park are for dogs.

If I saw this I would snarl at the dog in order to get a reaction, would then be classified as aggressive and put down. So please bring your dog somewhere inappropriate!

If you snarled at my dog you would just look weird. You sound psychotic.

it really depends on the place. some places allow dogs, some don't. i live in old town alexandria, where a huge number of places allow dogs (it's wonderful for those of us who love dogs) - a lot of the places have "dog friendly" stickers on their doors, other places you find out about because you just see people bringing dogs inside.

so, i would say ask: if you're going someplace, call ahead and ask if you can bring your dog; or pop your head in the door and ask. dogs are allowed many places, but many places still opt not to allow dogs, so you'll just have to find out on a case-by-case basis.

I love when businesses have a 'house dog'. Or cat.

Animals are animals. If you are allowed to bring your dog, I should be able to bring my cat, feret, snake, bird, etc.

Otherwise, no.

Your dog is a pet. Pets belong at home.

what does that mean? If I have a service dog/animal, who gets to decide if it's a serious or honest need? This is the same as those handicapped parking spots - do I have to LOOK disabled enough for your liking to have my service dog with me?

This has been dioscussed many times. Obviously if you feel the need to ask a question, you do not have a service animal you depend on to get around. You, at best, have a pet who reduces your anxiety. Who gets to decide this? People who make and pass laws, so that we all don't have to rely on common sense of people like you.
